CALL FOR AUDITIONS
Showtune Productions is holding local non-Equity adult auditions for the casting of its 2024 production of Wizard of OZ at Chandler Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 7, 12-5:30 p.m., callbacks are Saturday, September 21.
The Wizard of OZ will be a fully staged production with a live onstage orchestra, scenic projections, costumes, and choreography
Cast members must be over 18 and available for all evening and full-day weekend rehearsals, January 2-5 and March 2-13, 2024, with performances at Chandler Center for the Arts on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15, 2024. All roles will be paid. Showtune Productions supports inclusive, non-traditional casting.
Auditionees should memorize 16 bars of a Broadway classic and bring sheet music or iPad music in their key, as well as a professional non-returnable headshot and resume.

PRE-AUDITION WORKSHOP
In anticipation of the auditions, Showtune Production's Producer/Musical Director JR McAlexander and Artistic Director M. Seth Reines will host a free musical theatre audition workshop for actors 18 and older on Monday, August 19 at 6:00 pm at Chandler Center for the Arts.
The workshop offers audition tips to help attendees prepare for professional musical theatre auditions, from song selection to performance, preparation of resumes and headshots to audition etiquette and attire.
Workshop attendees who actively wish to participate should prepare 32 bars from a Broadway classic. Piano accompaniment will be provided. Come appropriately dressed for an audition; bring your headshot.
No headshot? Chandler Center for the Arts will be providing a photographer to take free theatrical headshots.
