IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: LIVE RADIO SHOW - Theater West - November 29-December 1, 2024

 

Coming soon to Theatre West! A live production of "It's a Wonderful Life: Live Radio Show." 

It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is a retelling of the classic holiday film, It's a Wonderful Life, as a 1940s radio broadcast.

George Bailey is a man who has always put others before himself, but on Christmas Eve, he feels like he's reached a dead end. When he contemplates suicide, his guardian angel, Clarence, appears and takes George on a journey to show him what the world would be like without him.

The story is told in a radio studio with an audience in attendance. The actors perform the story using their voices and foley sound effects.

This live production will be on stage on November 29, 30 at 7 pm and December 1 at 2 pm. Tickets are on a first come, first served basis. 

There will be no charge for this production, but we are asking for monetary contributions. All proceeds will be going to Valley View Food Bank.

THE UNEXPECTED GUEST - Theatre West - October 11-27. 2024

When a stranger runs his car into a ditch in dense fog in South Wales and makes his way to an isolated house, he discovers a woman standing over the dead body of her wheelchair-bound husband, gun in her hand. She admits to murder, and the unexpected guest offers to help her concoct a cover story. But is it possible that Laura Warwick did not commit the murder after all? If so, who is she shielding? The house seems full of possible suspects.

Agatha Christie's The Unexpected Guest

October 2024

The season kicks off in October with Agatha Christie's spine-tingling mystery, The Unexpected Guest. This classic whodunit keeps audiences on the edge of their seats as a stranger stumbles upon a murder scene and becomes entangled in a web of deceit and dark secrets. Known for its unpredictable twists and suspenseful narrative, this production promises to deliver a memorable theatrical experience.

Neil Simon's Rumors

January 2025

In January, Theatre West will present Neil Simon's Rumors, a fast-paced and uproarious comedy that brings chaos and hilarity to the stage. As four couples gather to celebrate an anniversary, they quickly find themselves caught up in a series of misunderstandings, resulting in a night full of comedic misadventures and witty banter. This lighthearted farce is sure to keep audiences laughing from start to finish.

Follies (Concert Version)

March 2025

The season concludes in March with the Tony Award-winning musical Follies. A true theatrical event, this legendary masterpiece is considered by many to be the greatest musical ever created. Surreal, sophisticated, compelling, heart wrenching and epic in scope, Follies by musical theatre legend, Stephen Sondheim, and author, James Goldman, uses the musical theatre as a metaphor for the collapse of American innocence and naivete in the post-Kennedy years.
