AUDITION OVERVIEW
Hale Centre Theatre—Arizona is thrilled to announce auditions for our upcoming series of shows, ‘Nunsense’, ‘Oklahoma!’, ‘Damn Yankees’, and ‘Bright Star’, playing at the Hale Centre Theatre in Gilbert! Auditions are open to everyone, and performers of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, and backgrounds are warmly welcomed and encouraged to audition. In-person auditions will be held on Saturday, September 26th, with video submissions due by 11:59 PM on Friday, September 25th.
SHOW DETAILS
‘Nunsense’ plays from Tuesday, January 19, 2027 - March 23, 2027 (with possible performances on April 5th and April 6th, 2027). Performances are Monday - Tuesday at 4 PM and 7:30 PM. ‘Nunsense’ will be directed by Cambrian James with Lincoln Wright as the Music Director.
‘Oklahoma!’ plays from Thursday, February 11, 2027 - March 27, 2027. Performances are Wednesday – Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM, with select Thursday, Friday, and Saturday matinees at 4:00 PM. ‘Oklahoma!’ will be directed by Cambrian James with Tyler Thompson as the Music Director.
‘Damn Yankees’ plays from Friday, April 2, 2027 - May 8, 2027. Performances are Wednesday – Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM, with select Thursday, Friday, and Saturday matinees at 4:00 PM. ‘Damn Yankees’ will be directed by Cambrian James with Lincoln Wright as the Music Director.
‘Bright Star’ plays from Friday, July 9, 2027 - August 14, 2027. Performances are Wednesday – Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM, with select Thursday, Friday, and Saturday matinees at 4:00 PM. ‘Bright Star’ will be directed by Cambrian James with Lincoln Wright as the Music Director.
IN-PERSON AUDITIONS
In-person auditions will be held in reserved time slots on Saturday, September 26th at the theatre, located at 50 West Page Ave, Gilbert, AZ 85233. Slots must be booked in advance and are limited, so availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve your time slot, please fill out the application form for the show(s), as well as role(s) that you are interested in. Everyone will only get ONE audition slot to sing and will be required to sing 16 measures of any song of your choice – there will be no dancing for the initial auditions.
VIDEO SUBMISSIONS
Video Submissions are also accepted! To submit, please fill out the application form and either upload your video directly or paste a "Public" or "Unlisted" YouTube link (videos marked "Private" cannot be viewed). You will be required to sing 16 measures of any song of your choice – there will be no dancing for the initial auditions. Please review the "Requirements" tab below for full video content details, formatting, and submission guidelines. The deadline for video submissions is Friday, September 25th at 11:59 PM.
