BUDDY- Fountain Hills Theater - July 24, 2015 - August 16, 2015

Buddy tells the story in words and music of the last few years of Buddy Holly's life. We see how he and his childhood high-school friends, the Crickets, turn country music upside down and create a unique style of sound which some called 'the devil's music'. We see Buddy's frustrations at Decca Records, his skill as a songwriter and composer when recording and experimenting with Norman Petty, the excitement he and America felt when "That'll Be The Day" went to #1, and his naive determination to be the first white act to play the Apollo. Later we meet Maria Elena, his future wife, and witness his whirlwind romance. Then we are taken on his ill-fated 'Winter Dance Party' Tour of 1959. Finally, we are the audience at the Surf Ballroom, Clear Lake, Iowa, where Buddy's final performance with Ritchie Valens ("La Bamba") and 'Big Bopper' J.P. Richardson (Chantilly Lace") is recreated, and what in theatre must be one of the most exciting musical concerts of all-time!

Buddy will play July 24 - August 16.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 2PM. Individual tickets are $28 for Adults and $23 for youth 17 and under.  Seniors receive a $5 discount on all summer performances.  Group rates and student rush discounts are available.

BLEACHER BUMS, Fountain Hills Theater, March 6 – 15, 2015

The group includes a rabid cheerleader, a blind man who follows the game by transistor radio and does his own play by play, a bathing beauty, a nerd and various other bleacher denizens. As the game proceeds, they bet among themselves on every conceivable event, go out for frosty malts or beers, try to pick up the bathing beauty and, occasionally, watch the game. The Cubs inevitably blow it in the ninth and the villainous Marvin, who always bets against the Cubs figuring he can’t lose, cleans up. The bleacher bums remain undaunted they will be back tomorrow to root for the home team.
