Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proces there's more to the story than meets the ears. 

"Once upon a time there was a little ogre named Shrek..." And this begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescure. Throw in a short- tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand...and his name is Shrek. 

Shrek The Musical is packed with relatable characters and moving vocals. You will not want to miss out!

Rehearsal Schedule and Production Dates

There are 2-3 roles for children in this show. Outside of this, we will be casting those who are, or look to appear, 16+.

Step into the world of Broadway with Patriot Productions’ Newsies Musical Theater Camp! Inspired by the hit Disney musical, this high-energy camp gives performers the chance to build skills in singing, dancing, acting, and stage performance while learning exciting choreography and music from a show packed with heart and adventure. Campers will grow in confidence, teamwork, and creativity in a fun, encouraging environment led by experienced theater instructors. Whether your performer is brand new to the stage or already loves the spotlight, Newsies Musical Theater Camp is the perfect place to make friends, learn new skills, and “seize the day” this summer!

Auditions for NEWSIES at Patriot Productions announced for January 8 & 9

It's time to carry the banner with Disney's Newsies! Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged 'newsies'. When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboy's expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what is right.

Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony award winning score by Alen Menken including cult classic songs such as "Carrying the Banner", "Sieze the Day", and "Sante Fe". 

Newsies is packed with exciting choreography, powerful vocals and with a set that is reminiscent of the iconic Broadway production, this production will most definitly be one for the books!
