Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play

As Thor struggles with the stress of final exams, his brother Loki finds himself under a different sort of pressure. Neither are beneath pranks in the endless competition for their parents’ favor.

Summer Session #2

Broadway Goes Back to the Future: Musical Review

July 8-19

Camp Hours: 8am-1pm (M-F)

Performances: Friday, 7/19 at 7pm and Saturday, 7/20 at 2pm

Experience Broadway’s greatest songs as we take a trip through time in this musical review of Broadway, past and present, in a trip that is sure to hit 88 MPH! This session is great for kids who love to sing and dance.

Cost: $275

CHOOSE FROM TWO LEARNING TRACKS

ON STAGE: Performance Track (Max per session: 15 students) 

Students in this track will get to experience what it is like to put on a full length production, from auditions to performance. They will be expected to memorize lines, create characterizations, and perform in front of a live audience.

BACKSTAGE: Technical Track (Max per session: 5 students) 

Students in this track will learn and assist with all aspects “behind the scenes” of a theater production, including: set, costume and props design and construction, lighting design, sound production, stage management & more. They will be assigned backstage roles to perform during performances, as appropriate by age level. 

EACH CAMP INCLUDES:

Hey little surfers! Ready to ride the summer wave at Shine Theatre’s Finding Nemo Kids Camp? 

From June 3-8, Monday to Friday, 8 AM-4 PM, we’re exploring the deep blue with Nemo and the gang. Perform for your pod on June 8th – it’s gonna be totally tubular!

FOR AGES 6-12 | COST: $300

Kids ages 6-12 can join Shine Theatre this June for a week full of musical theatre fun! Each day from 8:00am-4:00pm we'll learn acting, singing and dance choreography as we produce the heartwarming story of a father overcoming every obstacle across the ocean to find his lost son. There are no auditions required for this camp, and it will be an amazing experience for both experienced kid actors as well as first-timers.

Campers will be assigned to a group with a group leader, and each day starts with a brief devotional from the Bible. Then kids will make their rounds through acting, stage direction, singing, choreography and even crafty add-ons like making costume pieces and decorating parts of our set. At the end of camp, we'll put on a performance for family and friends with the full experience of sound, lights, sets, costumes and the excitement of live theatre!

The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea and became the hottest star on Broadway? Why, it's SpongeBob SquarePants! This one-hour edition of the hit Broadway musical, brilliantly adapted from the iconic Nickelodeon series, is specially tailored for young actors.

Disney's James and the Giant Peach Jr. 

Ages 7-12

July 22-August 3 | 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. 

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions.
