THE MACBETHEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT SPECTACULATHON… EVER!!!

Synopsis
What are elves to do when Santa maintains dangerous working conditions? Bring your friends and leave the young ones at home (we're serious!) for a debaucherous dinner party hosted by Lady M. Something wicked this way comes and its called the holiday spirit!
Performance Dates/Location: Main Street Creative Arts Center (933 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85203) Dec 4- 20th
Auditions:
Sept 19th at Metropolitan Arts Institute (1700 N 7th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85007) from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Park in any open space and follow signs to the theatre
Auditions will consist of a 1-2 minute comedic contemporary monologue from a play, film, or TV show. If it happens to be a festive one, we won’t say no.

Callbacks will be on Sept 20th at Metropolitan Arts Institute and will consist of cold readings from the script and light fight choreography. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move around in.
NOTE: All roles in this play contain varying levels of physicality and fight choreography so please be mindful and let us know of any limitations you have that could impact your performance.
This play does contain a high level of intimacy and sexual situations but NO NUDITY. Please be at least 18 to audition.
CHARACTERS
MACBETH (Male identifying) As one of Santa's finest and most thoughtful elves, he always tries to do the right thing...especially when it comes to making his wife happy.
LADY MACBETH (Female identifying) Obsessed with the finer things in life, enjoying life's pleasures, and entertaining those around her, including herself. (Role will involve intimacy)
SANTA CLAUS ( Male Identifying) An authoritarian brute who runs the workshop with an iron fist and a cold heart. A total narcissistic nightmare. (Role requires high amount of physicality and intimacy)
MALCOM (Male identifying) The son of Santa and Mrs. Claus. A whiny, spineless, lost young soul who yearns for acceptance and love from his parents. ( Role will involve stage combat)
MRS. CLAUS (Female Identifying) At wit's end when it comes to her family, Mrs. Claus has spent her days living a life filled with regrets.
JINGLE (Any gender) An elf
BOFF (Any gender) An elf.

Haunted Castle: Memento Mori
The grounds of the ICC are already a thin place where the dead sing and spirits walk. This October though, ghosts confined in eternal repetitions of their suffering will become fully visible to us & if we’re not careful, we will become visible to them. Your guide will lead you through this undead terrarium as we the living must pay witness to the dead to survive…
Performance Dates: Oct 21st-24th, Oct 28-30th
Audition date: Aug 29th 12-6 in Great Hall of Irish Cultural Center located at 1106 N Central Ave Phoenix, AZ 85004
What to prepare?
A 1-2 minute monologue of any monologue (Contemporary or Classical) or poem/short story, Horror related pieces are preferred but not necessary. Cold readings/sides will also be provided at the auditions for select pieces.

PATRICK BOLAND — Male, 50s-60s. Bridget's father. Stooped posture, weathered. Gentle, not commanding. Needs to land both tenderness and helplessness.
MICHAEL CLEARY — Male, plays mid-30s, several years older than Bridget. Bridget's husband. Broad build, intense presence. Must credibly swing between genuine tenderness and menace without tipping his hand early.

Asanuma: F (Asian Actor). A miko in league with Cethleann, brings a certain "the Chipotle I work at closes in five minutes and some guy just walked in so now I can't do any of my closing tasks until he leaves and maybe being a Chipotle customer should be illegal, actually" vibe to the supernatural dealings.
O’Connell: M. A thief, slimy, and generally unpleasant individual.
Cethleann: F. A Fomorian prophetess hunting O'Connell, she was exiled from home millennia ago and now walks the earth in solitude.

ARTHUR: 28-38, M, Egotistical Master Manipulator, Charming, insecure man who has experienced so much failure and heartache that he drinks to numb it all and takes out his pain on those closest to him.
Dearg Due: 18-30, F, Golden Hair, posh. Carries a Ghostly Elegance to distract or elude from her inner monstrous ways. A predator and a victim.
Haunted Whiskey by T.D. Lang, directed by Ashley Blanford
Stingy Jack (40s, male)—an immortal trickster and larger than life figure who is equal parts brash and charming. Ideally the actor should speak in an Irish accent.
Callum (early 20s, male)—a callow young man. naïve and unassuming with a touch of bravado.
The Red Cap (ageless/any age, any gender)—a horrible, twisted, hunched over goblin.

Chad: Male or Male-presenting. An amateur thief - this is not his first rodeo, but he hasn’t quit his day job. He steals because he is disadvantaged, not malicious.
Saoirse: Female or Female-presenting. A willing companion - in a bit over her head, but not naive. She has been casing the venue from the inside as a “student.”
The Dagda: Any gender presentation, age, body type. “The Good God,” chief among a tribe of ancient Celtic gods. The Dagda has died and faded from most memory besides myth.

Cast announced for THE SEAGULL at Ronin Theatre Collaborative
Ronin Theatre Collaborative returns this summer with a playfully meta revival of the Russian Theatre Classic, "The Seagull" by Anton Chekhov.
Love, Art, and Mayhem ensue in the Russian countryside as one generation of artists struggles against another, mostly to be taken seriously in spite of themselves. Director, Cody Goulder, is shaking things up with a framing device worthy of a Christopher Guest picture. A summer stock theatre company is performing their iteration of "The Seagull" but where the play ends and backstage drama begins is anyone's guess. This is the latest work in Ronin Theatre Collaborative's 2026 Season of play, which per Goulder pertains to "The games we play with others, the way we play ourselves, and the fun of live experimental theatre all rolled into one."

"The Seagull" will begin their run at the Main Street Creative Arts Center in Mesa, from July 10th to July 19th. After a brief hibernation, the production will migrate to Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival from August 14th to August 15th.

Auditions for THE LEGEND OF ROBIN HOOD at Ronin Theatre Collaborative announced for June 27
SYNOPSIS: The Legend of Robin Hood is an original tale that takes a dramatic new look at the heroes and villains of Sherwood Forest. Pulling from the classic ballads, popular stories, and actual historical figures, this bold new adventure takes everything you know and love about the Robin Hood mythology and mixes it with new surprises and characters in a more complex, realistic world. We find out what it takes to turn a man into a hero.

Ronin Theatre Collaborative presents The Legend of Robin Hood, a new telling of an old tale by Nathan Makaryk and directed by Elizabeth Kalita
People with power are running unchecked. People without are growing angry. And in the shire of Nottingham, the sheriff seems intent on doing nothing about it. Both a gripping historical epic and fascinating deconstruction of the famous legend, Nathan Makaryk’s The Legend of Robin Hood mixes history and myth into a complex study of justice—one that twists and turns far beyond the traditional tale of Sherwood Forest’s iconic thief. This critically-acclaimed production would later be the inception for Nathan's debut novel, NOTTINGHAM.
The Legend of Robin Hood will run Sept 10th-13th at the Irish Cultural Center at 1106 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85004.

Space 55 and Ronin Theatre Collaborative seek Actors for their 24-Hour Theatre Project + 48-Hour Film Challenge
Space 55 & Ronin Theatre Collaborative Present 3rd Annual MIDNIGHT OIL
A 24-Hour Theatre Project + 48-Hour Film Challenge
Space 55 and Ronin Theatre Collaborative present the 3rd Annual MIDNIGHT OIL, a collaborative fundraiser uniting a 24-Hour Theatre Project and a 48-Hour Film Challenge. The event invites actors and filmmakers to create original work under tight deadlines, culminating in a public showcase on March 21 at Metropolitan Arts Institute in downtown Phoenix.
Actors are sought for the 24-hour theatre portion and must be available all day Saturday, March 21 for a morning kickoff, rehearsals and technical run during the day, and an evening performance of newly written 10-minute plays.
Filmmakers (individuals or crews) will receive prompts on Friday, March 13, complete their films within 48 hours, and submit the evening of Sunday, March 15. Please submit registration forms (below) by Friday, February 27.
All completed films and theatre pieces will be presented Saturday, March 21 at 7:00 PM at Metropolitan Arts Institute.

About show
GLEN OAKS is a poetic, meditative exploration of love, life, and the complexities of relationships. The play follows a married couple as they face the bittersweet reality of growing apart while deciding if they should stay together. Their daughter, meanwhile, navigates her own journey of love as she falls for Charli, the granddaughter of the town historian, whose connections to the town’s past intertwines with the present. As each character grapples with letting go of old ties and embracing new ones, Glen Oaks itself -- rich with history, secrets, and beauty -- becomes a silent witness to their emotional transformations. Through expressionistic and dreamlike moments, the play delves into themes of memory, belonging, brutality, and the ever-shifting nature of love.
