Auditions for The Bridge Initiative's 2024/2025 Season announced for August 26



The Bridge Initiative
2024/25 Season Audition

Please join us for our 2024/25 season. Auditions are Monday Aug 26, 2024, 6p-10p at the
Childsplay Campus, Tempe. Sign up using the link below.

Please prepare a monologue that best showcases your talents and abilities. If you would like to
be considered for the musical concert, please choose a time slot between 8 and 9:30p.

Please bring a headshot and resume if you’re able.

Bridge Cabaret

Performance dates: 9.23.2024, 12.2.2024, 2.24.2025, 5.19.2025

- We are looking for several different 45 min one-person cabaret acts to be performed at
ASU Kerr.

Pay: $150

A Grand Night for Singing
ASU Kerr, Scottsdale

Performance dates: 10.6.2024, 2p and 10.7.2024, 7p
Some rehearsals in the two weeks leading up to the performance
Pay: $100

This is a staged reading of the musical. It will be presented as a concert. Please prepare a song
in the style of the show.

Tiny Beautiful Things

SUGAR - Age is 37 and up, no limit. Ethnicity is open. She is a writer, a married mom to two
children. On a whim, she takes a job as an anonymous online advice columnist, only to discover that
she needs the Letter Writers as much as they need her.

LETTER WRITER #1 - Age, gender and ethnicity are open. This person first appears when he
emails Sugar with the offer of the job as an online advice columnist, and later appears as several
Letter Writers, including women. Most notably he plays someone who repeatedly trolls Sugar online
by signing as WTF, and a father who has lost his 22 year old son in a car accident.

LETTER WRITER #2 - Age, gender and ethnicity are open. This person plays a variety of Letter
Writers of many ages, including an assortment of males. Most notably, she plays a woman dealing
with the after effects of a miscarriage, plus Sugar's mother who appears in flashbacks.

LETTER WRITER #3 - Age, gender and ethnicity are open. This person plays a variety of roles,
including women. Most notably he plays a transgender person in search of an answer about family,
plus someone who is unsure about maintaining a relationship with a narcissist father.

Pay: $50 each reading

Bridge Initiative is presenting two play readings. Titles TBA. One will possibly be a classic piece
by a female playwright and one will be a new work from a local author.
Spring Show Title TBA

Estrella Mountain Community College, Avondale
Rehearsals: April 2025
Performances: 4.25-5.4.2025

Pay: $300-$600
This play will be co-produced with the college. Callbacks will be early 2025.
