Runaways was created from interviews with homeless children and those in orphanages, Runaways is a collection of songs, dances and spoken word pieces about personal struggle and the world at large as seen through the eyes of youth in New York City in the ’70s.
Spotlight is looking for young people (Ages 12-19) of all ethnicities, body types, gender identifications and ability levels. This includes trans performers, deaf, gender neutral and all other pan-cultural performers who want to be heard. We are looking to incorporate different languages into the show including sign language.
This is a show that is built around all of the performers' strengths.
Auditions are March 19th and 20th at 6 p.m.
Callbacks on March 21st at 5:30 p.m.
Video submissions are welcome no later than March 19th at 9 p.m.

Please come prepared to sing 32 bars - acapella - of a song that tells us about you or has a special meaning to you. Actors must also come prepared to perform a short poem that means a lot to them. Original poems are welcome. Please see our website for additional information.
