The Musical Theatre Alliance of Arizona is proud to present a one-night-only symphonic performance of the Tony Award-winning musical Spamalot!
Spamalot is a riotous, Tony Award–winning musical that hilariously retells the legend of King Arthur and the quest for the Holy Grail. As Arthur gathers his knights and faces absurd challenges—from killer rabbits to overzealous minstrels—he navigates friendship, honor, and the occasionally inconvenient rules of chivalry. Packed with witty dialogue, outrageous characters, and show-stopping songs like “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” this uproarious tale celebrates imagination, satire, and the joy of not taking life—or theatre—too seriously.
Spamalot will be approximately 2.5 hours, including a 15-minute intermission.
About Showcase
MTAA’s Showcase offers a unique kind of theatre experience. You’ll see a full musical performed with a live orchestra—but without sets, costumes, or choreography. Instead, the focus is on the music, the characters, and the story. With just two rehearsals, there’s a fresh energy to every production. Performers carry scripts, scenes are minimally staged, and what unfolds onstage is part concert, part storytelling, and entirely in the moment. It’s a one-night-only glimpse into the heart of a musical, performed by singers and instrumentalists from across the state.
