This production is looking for 18+ non-union actresses only.

Synopsis:
The Last Five Years was written and composed by Jason Robert Brown. It follows the story of two New Yorkers as they fall in and out of love through their marriage. One member of the relationship sings in chronological order, and the other starts at the end. This production of The Last Five Years will include an after show art exhibition of paintings that are introduced throughout the performance with each song.
Characters:
Jamie, 20-25, Male, Vocal Range top: Bb4, Vocal range bottom: A2
Cathy, 20-30, Female, Vocal range top: D#5, Vocal range bottom: F3
The characters are a man and a woman, however, we are doing two all female casts/are only looking to cast women. Each cast will act as understudies for the other and will have two performances each.
The role of Jamie has already been filled in one of the casts.
Performances/Time Commitment:
February 20th 7:00 pm, 21st 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, 22nd 2:00 pm at the Kax at the Herberger Theatre Center.
Rehearsals begin January 6th, and will be 2-3 week days weekly from 6:00-9:00 pm, and Saturdays/Sundays from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. The weekend of February 14th will include a 6 hour rehearsal day at the Arizona Actors Academy.
Weekend rehearsals are essential and cannot be missed. Weekday rehearsals will take place in the director's condo or in public spaces.
Tech week begins February 16th, all cast members must be present.
A schedule will be sent with the audition form.
Please prepare a one minute monologue and 32 bars of musical theatre in your desired character's vocal range for your audition. If you are auditioning for both Jamie and Cathy, please prepare two songs, one in each of their ranges, and select two audition slots when filling out the form.
We will not have live accompaniment. Please bring your own background music and we will connect to your device via bluetooth.
Address for auditions will be shared upon receiving the filled audition form via email.
You can share a headshot and resume via email, however it is not a requirement when auditioning.
