A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE MUSICAL
Audition Dates: Saturday, October 11 at 12pm and Sunday, October 12 at 6pm
Callbacks (if required) Tuesday, October 14 at 7pm
Rehearsals Begin: October 18 at 1pm
Production Dates: December 5 – 21, 2025
To audition:
Auditioners are asked to sing 16- 32 bars of a song that best shows off their voice and range.
Auditioners should bring:
– Complete the digital audition form (at this link)
– Headshot, and resume if available and not already submitted via link above
Video Auditions:
Must be submitted prior to October 10, and may substitute for appearing at the Saturday and Sunday auditions. Auditioners must be available to attend in-person callbacks October 14 if required. Video should include a short monologue, and be uploaded with a headshot, and a resume (if available) when filling out the digital audition form linked above.
FHT seeks to include persons of every race, color, culture, age, gender, creed, physical disability, and sexual orientation. Character ages are not set in stone and all roles are open to all ethnicities unless otherwise stated. Actors should consider roles if they feel they can represent the characters and age range listed
CASTING FOR:
EBENEZER SCROOGE (M, to play 50+) A cold-hearted miser, whose fear of the world has manifested in a hatred for Christmas.
JACOB MARLEY (M, to play 50 +) The ghost of Ebenezer Scrooge’s dead business partner
BOB CRATCHIT (M, 35-50) An optimistic, mild-mannered man who loves his family.
DICK WILKINS (M, 18-25) Fezziwig’s overly enthusiastic junior clerk
FEZZIWIG (M, 40+) The aging proprietor of a shop, but kindly and outgoing.
MRS. FEZZIWIG (F, 40+) The equally kind wife of Fezziwig.
GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST (F, any age) A strange, otherworldly spirit who shows Scrooge his past.
YOUNG EBENEZER (M, 8-12) A school-aged boy.
EBBY (M, 18-25) Ebenezer Scrooge as a young man, before his bitterness.
MRS. CRATCHIT (F, 35-50) A strong headed matriarch of her family. She is kind-hearted but not afraid to speak her truth.
PETER CRATCHIT (M, 13-17) Eldest son of the Cratchits.
BELINDA CRATCHIT (F, 7-13) Youngest daughter of the Cratchits.
MARTHA CRATCHIT (F, 16-20) Eldest daughter of the Cratchits.
TINY TIM (M, 7-10) A kind-hearted, sickly boy who loves Christmas.
GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT (M, all ages) An exuberant spirit who is the embodiment of Christmas Day.
FRED HOLLOWELL (M, 18-30) Scrooge’s nephew and a joyful young man filled with Christmas cheer.
BELLE (F, 18-30) A young woman with fierce convictions and the lost love of Ebenezer.
ELIZABETH HOLLOWELL (F, 18-30) Fred’s outgoing and playful wife.
MRS. DILBERT (F, Any age) Scrooge’s curmudgeonly house keeper.
A FULL ENSEMBLE (All ages) Plays all the other various roles to tell the classic tale.
