Please sign up for a 5 minute audition slot. Prepare 1 dramatic monologue of your choosing totalling no more than 3 minutes. Then fill out the following Google Form:
Auditions and callbacks will be held at Casa de Cristo, located at 1029 E Turney Ave. Callbacks will be held by invitation only on Saturday August 16th from 3:30pm-6:30pm
Character Descriptions:
DRACULA - (Male-presenting) - Count Dracula, lord of Castle Dracula and an ancient vampire, he is a man of indeterminable age and carries himself with slow, deliberate movement. Includes fight choreography. Accent required.
ALEXANDRINA - (Female-presenting) - The oldest of the brides, she was Dracula’s living bride, and she is the one to hold court amongst the other vampires.
DACIANA - (Female-presenting) - Dracula’s second bride, stealthy and suspicious, she was a hunter in life and tries to keep up the habit in death. Includes fight choreography.
SORANA - (Queer, Female-presenting) - Dracula’s third bride, she is bright-eyed and curious, a flirt who loves parties, in a secret relationship with Teodora.
TEODORA - (Queer, Female-presenting) - Dracula’s fourth bride, an uptight and bookish woman who is not particularly interested in her husband, in a secret relationship with Sorana.
NASTAZJA - (Female-presenting) - The fifth and youngest of Dracula’s brides, a fashionable young girl who married Dracula for his wealth, very close with Alexandrina but otherwise not enjoying life as a vampire.
JONATHAN HARKER - (Male-presenting) - A young English clerk for a law firm, he is well off, though not exactly put together, Lucy’s brother and Mina’s fiance.
LUCY HARKER - (Queer, Female-presenting) - A bright and exuberant young Englishwoman, sister to Jonathan Harker and close companion and lover of his fiancee, Mina Murray.
MINA MURRAY - (Queer, Female-presenting) - A shy and sensible young school teacher, fiancee to Jonathan Harker and close companion and lover of his sister, Lucy.
ABRAHAM VAN HELSING - (Male-presenting/Masc) - A professor of strange diseases and vampire hunter, he’s been hunting Dracula for over a decade, also a bit of a charming rogue. Includes fight choreography.
FRANKA - (All genders) - Portrays two innkeepers, one in Germany and one in Romania, both are interested in Van Helsing.
