Stage Manager for the 2015-2016 national tour
Childsplay, Arizona’s professional theatre for young audiences, is seeking a Stage Manager for the 2015-2016 national tour. Duties include supervising load in, managing schedule, running rehearsals, overseeing all technical elements of show, supervising sound check and operating sound computer, running focus and cueing lights. Must have experience managing rehearsals and calling shows, and possess excellent team leadership skills. Must have the ability to interact with crew and acting company in a clear and professional manner in a high stress environment. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Any sewing, painting and crafting skills are a plus. The contract is from August 17, 2015 – November 29, 2015 and December 28, 2015 – April 17, 2015.

Deck Chief for the 2015-2016 national tour of Cat in the Hat
Childsplay, Arizona’s professional theatre for young audiences, is seeking a Deck Chief for the 2015-2016 national tour of Cat in the Hat. Duties include managing and facilitating load in of set, props and costumes, coordinating and training local crew member on show duties and organizing all deck duties before, during, and after the run of shows. Position will also assist Stage Manager with all technical elements of show as needed including maintenance of set, props and costumes. Must have experience working backstage and management of crews and actors. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Any sewing, painting and crafting skills are a plus. The contract is from September 14 2015 – November 29, 2015 and January 4, 2016 – April 17, 2015.

Master Electrician for the 2015-2016 season
Childsplay, Arizona’s professional theatre for young audiences, is seeking a Master Electrician for the 2015-2016 season. ME will be responsible for planning, interpreting plots and paperwork, execution, hang, focus, managing crews, maintenance, and run of show for a 6 show season in 2 spaces. Must be familiar with VectorWorks and Lightwright, possess excellent communication skills, organization and time-budget management. Position will proactively communicate with guest designers, stage managers, department heads on all elements related to lighting and atmospheric effects. Requires the ability to safely and independently lift up to 50 pounds, be comfortable working at heights and in tight, unusual spaces. The contract is from August 10, 2015 through July 5, 2016.

Positions include local tour, national tour, and in house runs of 2 mainstage shows. Duties include coordination and oversight of rehearsals, running performances, maintaining artistic quality of performances, filing performance reports and other ongoing communication with the Production staff and others as needed. Must have experience managing rehearsals and calling shows, and possess excellent team leadership skills. Must have the ability to interact with crew and acting company in a clear and professional manner in a high stress environment. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
