A candidate for the Part Time Musical Theatre Dance Instructor position must be actively working in an artistic field, and be able to work with 6th – 8th students. This is a co-teaching position where lesson plans will be taught and implemented in partnership with the academy’s Music Director. This person must be a team player, organized, personable, self-motivated, posses classroom management skills, and be passionate about the arts. Qualified candidates will have a background in musical theatre and jazz dance styles, with an understanding of basic ballet. Apart from teaching dance technique and conditioning, this candidate will also choreograph for our on-campus performances.
The Mesa Arts Academy is a K-8 Title 1 public charter school that has gained notoriety both locally and nationally for its artistic and academic excellence. This position pays $15 an hour, with one hour of paid planning time per hour of instruction. Four hours of instruction, with 4 hours of paid planning time per week. Additional hours may be available.
