A/C is putting together a team, not of just A/C artists and patrons, but rather a team collectively made from various arts organization around the Phoenix area. It's a team for any actor, musician, designer, technician, director, producer, artist, or patron to participate in, with the idea that we are stronger when we band together.
The hope is to raise $1,000 for Aunt Rita's Foundation. Aunt Rita's Foundation serves 17 member agencies in Central Arizona that provide programs to prevent HIV/AIDS or assist those living with the disease. Some of the agencies are small and rely on Aunt Rita's Foundation for a major portion of their fundraising and without it they would not survive.
This is not a fundraiser for A/C Theatre Company. A/C feels it is important for arts organizations to get involved with their community. Our company has put a particular emphasis and supporting all that is "local". For us, that includes supporting local charities and nonprofits that are doing critical work for the people of our community.
