Part-Time Marketing Communications Strategist/Manager/Specialist

Highly rated theater based Arizona business, Carnival of Illusion, is in the process of creating a Marketing Communications position to be part of their small but innovative and creative team.

Our Marketing Communications' primary responsibility would be to generate additional revenues by creatively utilizing multiple forms of communication to increase show visibility, ticket and group sales, guest retention, and broaden theater's public image.

Since we are creating the position, we will customize the job title, description and pay based on the individual we hire. The position could be:
  • An entry level position for someone with a creative desire and up-to-date knowledge of today's marketing arena,
    OR
  • A managerial position for someone with an extensive marketing background looking for greater flexibility and independence in the creative application of their experience.
Responsibilities might include but are definitely not limited to:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy.
  • Create publicity through unpaid, online media such as email groups, online chat, online forums, e-zines, e-newsletters, and other online publications.
  • Conceive and implement direct marketing programs: direct mail, email, websites, marketing collateral, etc.
  • Ensures that key, strategic messages are communicated effectively to target audiences.
  • Design, implement, manage, and track effectiveness of print, radio, TV, and online advertising.
  • Develop cross promotional tie-ins and partnerships with local businesses.
  • Conceive and implement online promotional and affiliate programs.
  • Develop media relationships, monitors media activities, and responds to media requests.

The position will require an independent, creative and innovative individual with strong written and verbal communication skills and an exceptional attention to detail.  

All levels of experience are welcome to apply however resumes with previous experience in marketing and/or promotions will have preference. No previous experience in theater marketing required.   

Hours are flexible. Position will be hired on a contractor basis, paid by the hour. Rate of pay to be determined by applicants subject knowledge and experience.
