In the spring, we present Falsettos – the Winner of the 1992 Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score. Falsettos combines William Finn and James Lapine’s musicals, March of the Falsettos (1981) and Falsettoland (1990) into a historical celebration of LGBTQ+ relationships, family values, and resilience. Falsettos is an expression of one’s chosen family, reminding us that empathy is not simply an ideal but an action—one that becomes even more meaningful in the face of loss and uncertainty.
