Immediate casting for a Latina Actor for the National Tour of Childsplay's TOMÁS AND THE LIBRARY LADY



Latina Actor needed IMMEDIATELY for National Tour

Childsplay is seeking a Latina singing actor to go into our national touring production of Tomás and the Library Lady, by José Cruz González.  The show will also have a run at the Herberger Theatre Center in Phoenix in April and May.  

This actor is a replacement that will go into the show mid-tour.  This is a 2-person show.  This actor plays:  Amá, the Library Lady, Enrique, and a Narrator.

DATES
Rehearsal in Tempe, AZ.  Wednesday, Jan 24, 2024 through Tuesday, Jan 30, 2024 (5 rehearsal days)
Flight to Cedar Falls, Iowa/rehearsal in Iowa:  Wednesday, Jan 31, 2024.
Rehearsal in Cedar Falls with the rest of the show’s company:  Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024
First performance:  Friday, Feb 2, 2024

This is a van tour.  The two actors and the stage manager travel from venue to venue in a van that also carries the set, costumes, props, etc.  All company members assist with the driving of the van, as well as the unloading and packing of the van, and the set up and strike of the show.
Tour ends/company returns to Tempe:  March 12, 2024
Run at the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix:  April 29, 2024 – May 17, 2024   

COMPENSATION
Actor will be paid a salary of $684.00 per week, payable every two weeks during the employment dates through the end of the national tour on March 12, 2024.  Actor will be paid a salary of $550.00 during the employment dates of April 29, 2024 through May 17, 2024, all as noted in section 3.1.  All applicable local, state and federal taxes will be deducted from this salary. 
 
Actor will be paid a per diem of $40.00 for every full day on tour and $20.00 (Twenty Dollars) for every half day away from the Phoenix metropolitan area.
