Open Auditions for The Musical of Musicals: The Musical
Music by Eric Rockwell, Lyrics by Joanne Bogart, Book by Eric Rockwell and Joanne Bogart
Auditions will be held Sunday, January 14 from 10am to 12pm at Ghostlight Theatre.
Auditioners will need to prepare 32 bars of a song from any of the following composers/songwriters: Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jerry Herman, Kander and Ebb. Please bring sheet music for our Music Director/Accompanist.
Callbacks will be held Sunday, January 21 from 10am to 2pm. Callbacks will consist of singing, dancing, and cold readings (if necessary).
Rehearsals begin February 12, 2024 and will run on weekday evenings
Performances are March 28, 2024 - April 7, 2024 (NO performance on Easter)
Characters:
Jitter- the “villain”, landlord figure demanding rent or other recompense
Billy- the “hero”, leading man, love interest, offers to pay the rent in the end
June-the “ingenue”, leading lady, cannot pay her rent
Abby-the “matron”, older wise woman, always gives advice
*Due to the nature of this show telling one storyline in five different musical styles, essentially creating five mini-musicals, casting is open and flexible between 4-20 actors*
