Fountain Hills Youth Theater is proud to announce auditions for 9 female actors ages 10-19 for the
third presentation of their 2021-22 season, “Little Women”:
“Little Women” The play begins that memorable Christmas when Marmee leaves to visit her sick
husband and Jo sells her beautiful hair to help finance the trip. It ends just a year later when the
happy family is again preparing to celebrate not only Christmas but also the return of Mr. March. In
between these two events, we again live, laugh, love and cry with Meg, Jo, Amy and Beth as they go
through the many trials and tribulations that have made this story a classic.
“Little Women” auditions will be held at 5:45 pm Monday and Tuesday, January 10 and 11 with
possible call back on the 12th. First rehearsal will be January 15, 2022 at 10 AM. The production will
run for weekends from February 25 to March 6, 2022. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7PM
and Sundays at 2:00PM with possible additional performances on Saturdays at 2PM. “Little
Women” is directed by Ross Collins, produced by Aimee Avery.
Roles being cast include:
Meg 16 years old, the oldest. Very neat and tidy
Jo 15 years old. A tomboy and writer
Beth 14 years old. Shy and timid, sweet and peaceful.
Amy 12 years old. She is always conscious of her appearance.
Mrs March (Marmee) Their Mother
Aunt March Their out-spoken Aunt
Hannah The family servant
Sallie Moffatt A friend
Aunt Caroll The timid aunt
“Little Women” auditioners should be between the ages of 10 and 19 and prepare an age-
appropriate monologue (comedic or dramatic) not to exceed two minutes in length. Please bring
your filled-out audition form, a picture and resume (if available) and a list of all possible rehearsal
conflicts. An audition packet containing the audition form, rehearsal schedule, and other important
information including vaccination requirements and productions fees is available on the web site
“Little Women” will play at Fountain Hills Youth Theater located 1.5 miles North of Shea Blvd. at
11445 N. Saguaro Blvd. in Fountain Hills.
