Fountain Hills Youth Theater Announces Auditions For JUNIE B. IN JINGLE BELLS, BATMAN SMELLS! on October 18 & 19

Fountain Hills Youth Theater is proud to announce auditions for the second presentation of their 2021-22 season, “Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells!” 5:45pm October 18th and 19th with possible call backs on the 20th, 2021 for 7 male and 4 female actors ages 8-19 for the following roles 

Junie B. Jones Female age 11-15

José Male age 11-15

Tattle-tale May Female age 11-15

Philip Johnny Bob M/F age 8-12

Lucille- Female age 11-15

Mr. Scary Male age 12-19

Herb Male age 11-15

Mr. Toot/Grandpa - Male age 12-19

Sheldon Male age 11-15

Elf Ellen Female age 12-19

“Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells!” Junie B. Jones, First-Grader, is super-excited about the upcoming Holiday Sing-Along and Secret Santa gift exchange at her school. Too bad tattletale May keeps ruining all of Junie B.'s fun. So when Junie B. draws May's name for Secret Santa, she comes up with the perfect plan to teach her nemesis a lesson! But will the Christmas spirit of peace and goodwill interfere before she can give you-know-who what she deserves? A hilarious and endearing tale based on the best-selling book series by Barbara Park.

“Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells!”  is directed by Ross Collins and produced by Marcie Rozalsky. 

“Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells!” rehearsals will begin Saturday, October 23RD at 10 AM.  The production will run for three weekends from December 3RD -19th, 2021. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7PM and Sundays at 2:00PM with possible additional performances on Saturdays at 2PM..

“Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells!” auditioners should be between the ages of 8 and 19.  All auditioners must prepare a comedic monologue not to exceed two minutes in length and be prepared to read from the script.  Please bring your completed audition form (available in the audition packet when registering) picture and resume (if available) and a list of all conflicts.  

Auditions will be held at 5:45pm October 18th and 19th with possible call backs on October 20th
