Mark Cortale’s Broadway @ Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts series showcases some of Broadway’s brightest stars in the Center’s intimate Virginia G. Piper Theater. Hosted by multi-talented pianist and comedian Seth Rudetsky, these cabaret-style concerts mix popular song with candid showbiz stories.
Actress and singer Megan Hilty has earned rave reviews for her performances spanning the stage, screen and concert hall. She is most recognizable for her portrayal of seasoned triple-threat Ivy Lynn in NBC’s musical drama Smash. Hilty made her Broadway debut as Glinda in Wicked, starred as Lorelei Lee in the Encores! production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and received high praise for her portrayal of Doralee Rhodes in Broadway’s 9 to 5: The Musical. She earned a Tony Award nomination for her role as Brooke Ashton in Noises Off. Hilty has released two albums and her solo concerts continue to sell out and receive critical acclaim, from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to the Kennedy Center.
Seth Rudetsky is the afternoon host on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio’s On Broadway as well as the host of Seth Speaks on SiriusXM Stars. He has played piano for more than a dozen Broadway shows, including Ragtime, Les Misérables and Phantom of the Opera, among many others.
