Showtune Productions is holding local non-Equity child auditions for the casting of the role of “CHIP” in its 2024 production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: Live in Concert at Chandler Center for the Arts on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
THE PRODUCTION: Leading this concert production is Showtune Productions’ Owner and Music Director JR McAlexander, Artistic Director M. Seth Reines, PBS-TV Director, and director of over 500 regional theatres, national tours, and world premiere musicalsThe dance will be staged by national tour veteran and local choreographer Lauran Stanis. The production will feature a live on-stage orchestra, costumes, choreography, full staging, and animated scenic projections. REHEARSALS / PERFORMANCES: Cast members must be available for rehearsal January 2-7 and March 11-21, 2024, with three performances at the Chandler Center for the Arts on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23, 2024. All roles will be paid.
THE ROLE OF CHIP: Mrs. Potts’s hopeful young son; becomes a teacup.

Height must be below 50" (4'2")
Vocal range top: F5
Vocal range bottom: A3 (pre-voice change)
AUDITION: Auditionees should prepare a Beauty and the Beast song or bring music for 16 bars of a Disney song. An accompanist will be provided. No background accompaniment tracks will be allowed. Please bring sheet music in the actor's key and a non-returnable headshot (or photo) and resume. If the child does not have a resume, please bring a list of any music lessons or choir experience.
