It’s SpongeBob & friends to the rescue when the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that Mt. Humongous threatens to destroy their town! Will total annihilation befall the ocean depths, or will an unlikely hero emerge?
Sing through original music from your favorite pop artists, including Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, David Bowie, The Flaming Lips, and more! Songs include “Bikini Bottom Day”, “(Just A) Simple Sponge”, “Hero Is My Middle Name”, and “When the Going Gets Tough.” The SpongeBob Musical is based on the animated cartoon conceived by Stephen Hillenburg.
AZMTO’s private, just-for-fun educational reading will feature pianists John Luke Osorio and Stefan Mladenov. The evening starts with a warm-up & practice session, then takes you on a casual read-through of the entire show!
5-minute applications are free and do not require any formal audition. Music is available immediately, and practice is done on-your-own using cast recordings as reference. Sheet music reading skills are strongly encouraged.
AZMTO is committed to authentic and inclusive storytelling. BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists are encouraged to apply.
AZMTO: UNDERSCORE allows all professional & amateur singers/actors a chance to develop their musical theatre reading skills. There are no tickets and no formal audience, and readings are performed classroom-style with SATB Chorus and piano only. No sets, props, or costumes are used. AZMTO does not profit from UNDERSCORE events.
