CYT- Phoenix offers new Foster Ticket Program

from our friends at CYT-Phoenix:

This October, Christian Youth Theater will present the funny, heartwarming Dear Edwina, Jr., a musical about a teenage advice-giver extraordinaire at the Phoenix Center for the Arts. The cast includes over 30 local performers ages 8-17.

CYT has been performing to sold-out audiences in the Valley for years, but for this show and many more to come, the organization and its students are hoping to see some new faces in the crowd–namely foster kids and their foster families.

Through the launch of the new Foster Tickets program, patrons of the arts can donate the funds to purchase tickets to CYT’s mainstage productions like Dear Edwina, Jr . and the tickets will be given to foster families to provide a fun outing for the children and their guardians. A simple $40 donation allows one child and their guardian to attend the show at no cost to them. For the donor, the amount
is tax deductible.

To ensure the tickets reach the families who will benefit the most, CYT is partnering with Christian Family Care (CFC), a local non-profit organization licensed through the state to provide child welfare and adoption services. CFC will distribute the donated tickets to the foster families already in their care.

CYT believes that all kids should have the opportunity to attend and experience the magic of live musical theater, and is hopeful that this program will make that opportunity readily available to these families that are already giving so much of themselves to benefit a child or children in need.
