audition notice - JUNIE B. IN JINGLE BELLS BATMAN SMELLS! - Fountain Hills Youth Theater - October 16 & 17

Junie B. Jones, First-Grader, is super-excited about the upcoming Holiday Sing-Along and Secret Santa gift exchange at her school. Too bad tattletale May keeps ruining all of Junie B.'s fun. So when Junie B. draws May's name for Secret Santa, she comes up with the perfect plan to teach her nemesis a lesson! But will the Christmas spirit of peace and goodwill interfere before she can give you-know-who what she deserves?


Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells will be directed by FHYT Alumni Emily Spets

There is no fee to audition. If cast, there is a production fee of $50.00 per participant (t-shirt provided). Scholarships and additional volunteer options available. NO ONE will be denied participation based on ability to pay.

Audition Dates:
Monday, October 16th at 5:45pm & Tuesday, October 17th at 5:45pm
Callbacks (if necessary): Wednesday, October 18th

Production dates:
December 1 - 17
Performance Times: Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm

- 1-2 minute comedic monologue
- to read cold from the script
- Headshot or school photo and resume if available
- List of possible rehearsal conflicts

Philip Johnny Bob - a stuffed elephant M/F age 8-12

Lucille - a rich kid   Female age 11-15

Mr. Scary - the teacher  Male age 12-19

Herb - Junie B.'s best friend    Male age 11-15

Mr. Toot/Grandpa Miller - the choral teacher/Junie B's Grampa Male age 12-19

Sheldon - a classmate  Male age 11-15

Elf Ellen - a volunteer parent   Female age 12-19


PLEASE NOTE:
Youth actors do have the opportunity to audition for both Junie B. and A Christmas Carol. Casting decisions for A Christmas Carol will not affect casting decisions for Junie B.
