This class is designed to deepen actors’ understanding of scripts and strengthen their connection to character and story. Students will explore how to break down a scene or monologue by identifying objectives, obstacles, tactics, given circumstances, and subtext.  Participants develop stronger choices, clearer storytelling, and greater confidence in auditions, rehearsals, and performances. This workshop encourages the actor to move beyond memorization and truly understand the “why” behind every line they speak.

*CLASS SIZE LIMITED

In this audition workshop, we will be focusing on THE CALLBACK! Many of the youth theaters in the Valley lean towards general callbacks with Cold Reads and non-specified callback songs.  Students will be given materials to learn on the fly, and be taught techniques to help them make strong choices when presented with materials they have not had time to prep. We hope to help ease the stress of the callback, so our students can shine no matter what is throw at them
