Urgent Casting for the role of "Lydia" in "Children of a Lesser God" by Mark Medoff
Order Chaos Theater Company is seeking an ASL fluent actor, in the role of Lydia, for it’s fall production of “Children of a Lesser God” by Mark Medoff. OCTC is committed to casting deaf or hard-of-hearing actors in the roles for this role. All other roles have been cast. Stipend and parking passes near Herberger are provided to all cast members.
Rehearsals will begin July 11th and production will run September 8th to 24th at the Herberger Theater’s Kax Stage.
OPEN ROLES:
Lydia
Female Supporting Actor, late teens/20s, deaf or hard-of-hearing actor fluent in ASL and will be required to speak some lines. Lydia, in her late teens, student at the state school for the deaf. A lip reader with some residual hearing, Lydia is infatuated with James and is manipulated by Orin.
Chorus roles
Multiple roles that will shadow all main characters in the show using ASL only. Must be ASL fluent.
