Musical Theatre East is proud to announce their upcoming shows for the Fall and Winter of 2023/2024!
Youth Theatre
MTE is dedicated to creating high-quality youth theatre productions that offer a comprehensive experience to all students who enroll. We firmly believe that every student should have the opportunity to experience theatre and cultivate a passion for the performing arts, regardless of their experience level.
There are two casts available for enrollment:
JR. (ages 9-12) and Teen (ages 13-18).
Our productions are organized by semester and meet once or twice a week for rehearsals until tech week.
Our production team will strive to provide a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters creativity, growth, and excellence in young performers.
Rising Stars
Rising Stars is a specially designed introduction to theatre class for children aged 5-8. This program focuses on teaching the fundamental principles of creating a character through the use of stage terms, imagination, games, and creativity. We want to see each student develop a strong foundation in the art of theatre, build confidence and expanding their creative abilities.
In the last week of classes, students will showcase their skills in a performance for friends and family. The showcase will feature scenes and musical numbers from popular Broadway shows, Disney movies, and more!
Community Theatre
Community Theatre productions are available to college-aged students and above, with the exception of productions requiring younger actors. In such cases, auditions for specific roles will be open to younger performers. Unlike our youth productions, community theatre encompasses both musical and non-musical plays, and are by audition only.
