Auditions for DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID, JR at Act One Youth Theatre announced for January 13 with optional Auditions Workshops on January 8

Disney's The Little Mermaid JR.
Music by Alan Menken
Lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater
Book by Doug Wright
Music Adapted and Arranged by David Weinstein

Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.

In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.

A participation fee is being charged to help offset the cost of the production.
LEADING/SUPPORTING ROLES: $250 (Due to the extra rehearsal time for singing, dancing and costuming)
ENSEMBLE AND FEATURED ROLES: $175 for the first actor and $100 for each additional actor in the family.
Fees includes one Show T-Shirt per actor and all costumes required.
(Full and partial scholarships available)

Mask policy: As of 7/26/2021 Actors will be given the choice to wear a mask or not for rehearsals and performances. If the CDC changes their guidelines, Actors families will be contacted.

CAST OF CHARACTERS (This show will be doublecast for the leads and supporting. Characters who are cast as Leads, will not understudy for any other roles. Instead, on their off days, they will assist backstage
