Phoenix Theatre announces the 20th annual Festival of New American Theatre, formerly known as the Caleb Reese Festival of New Plays and Musicals. The Festival happens January 21 through February 10, 2019 and features rehearsed readings (with script in hand) of new, unproduced plays and musicals, as well as a Composer/Lyricist Cabaret. Phoenix Theatre is the very first arts organization in the state of Arizona and the largest producing regional theatre company in the Valley.
The Festival provides opportunities for playwrights, composers, and lyricists to showcase their original works in their Pre Pre-Broadway or Pre Pre-O Broadway stage of development.
