All Puppet Players' 2018 / 2019 Season!
Jaws: Live Abridged & Completely Underfunded
October 5-27, 2018
The very first summer blockbuster gets the low-fi treatment as the All Puppet Players punch their way through another glorious duct-taped extravaganza. Their patented plethora of pop-culture references, ludicrous audience interactions, and financially lacking sets will bring the story of the small town hunted by a big ol' shark to life! It's sure to bring joy and laughter to everyone willing to go back into the water. We're gonna need a bigger stage!
Die Hard: A Christmas Story
November 30-December 29, 2018
Yippie Ki-Yay, puppet lovers! The holiday hit is back and ready for some more holiday cheer! What do you get when you cross the definitive holiday action movie with All Puppet Players brand of fast, fury, funnied-frenzy? You get an instant holiday classic!
While most families will deposit their holiday cheer with Scrooge and friends, the All Puppet Players are offering an alternative that includes a puppet Bruce Willis, a battle for Nakatomi Plaza and tons of pop-culture references to hang nice and cozy over your fireplace.
John McClane tries to save his wife and several others from master criminal Hans Gruber during a Christmas party. Nothing is safe and no holiday memory unsoiled while the puppets wreak havoc on Christmas (Yay, we said it) and bring the holiday spirit to all good little boys and girls. There’ll be caroling, and gun-fights, curse words, and all the puppet anarchy you can shake a yule log at. Enjoy the newest holiday tradition! Welcome to the party, pal!
Waiting For Henson
February 1-February 23, 2019
Two figures meet on a lonely stretch of road in the middle of nowhere. Nothing happens, nothing is certain and there’s never anything to do. Sound boring? Not when the All Puppet Players lampoon absurdist theatre and prove that nothing means anything… and anything means EVERYTHING. Confused? Exactly!
This nonsensical-tomfoolery abandons logical construction, rational thought, and intellectually usable arguments to prove that irrationality, self-awareness, and puppets are a lethal combination when someone tries to assign meaning to them.
A Fistful of Puppets
April 5-27, 2019
Howdy Partners! The All Puppet Players aim their sights on the western genre as they bring you the rootinest- tootinest show on stage! A quick-draw competition sets the stage for a gaggle of homicidal maniacs, insane humans, and a downright hilarious cast of characters, all hoping for victory and unspoiled riches. Among them is a mysterious lady, with ties to the town and seeking vengeance. To settle a long-tallied score, she must battle the band of unruly outlaws and face the cold-blooded gunslinger holding the town and her past captive. Watch and laugh as puppets and humans are infused into this celebrated genre for a show packed with sight gags, yee-haws, outrageous plot twists, audience participation and pure puppet anarchy! So grab your boots, chaps, and cowboy hats and come see the weirdest thing on stage since Paint Your Wagons.
