A modern spin on Hans Christian Anderson’s tale, it follows young Olivia’s rise from forest peasant to the throne of Wisendorf. When the old king dies, Prince Xander must find a new queen to rule. Bickering princesses flood the palace to claim the throne. One by one, they fail a series of tests designed to find a princess of true sensitivity. This fresh take on the familiar classic is full of romance and laughter, magic tapestries, palace spies, and lots and lots of mattresses.

East Valley Children’s Theatre is an award winning theatre for youth age 8-18 producing classic children’s literature and fairy tales with a twist. EVCT is in its 18th season of producing exceptional theatrical experiences for youth.
What To Prepare
Auditions will consist of reading from the script, movement and dance. No advanced preparation is required. Please dress comfortably for movement and bring a photo of yourself you can leave with us at the audition.
Audition Dates and Times:
Wednesday August 19 – 5 pm for ages 8-11, 7pm for ages 12-18, Thursday August 20 – 5 pm for ages 8-11, 7pm for ages 12-18
