Synopsis
Tengo famiglia! Every Sunday, Nick crosses the river to New Jersey and has dinner with both sets of his Italian American grandparents since his parents retired and moved to Florida. Nick's grandparents inundate him with family tradition and lots of food! But Nick has dreams, and when he receives the perfect job offer from the west coast, he is determined to take it. His grandparents – Frank, Aida, Nunzio, and Emma – are just as determined that he stay put. How could he betray his family’s love to move to Seattle, for a job, they wonder? Thus, they concoct a series of shameless schemes and hilarious shenanigans to keep Nick from leaving — including introducing him to the woman of his dreams. From the author of our 2024 Season’s heartwarming comedy The Last Romance, you’ll laugh out loud and wipe away the tears as Nick and his grandparents discover the true meaning of "Tengo famiglia".

Audition Overview
Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script - with the sides provided (uploaded to the Casting Manager site). Note: all four grandparents are loud, passionate, loving Italian Americans who believe family is everything. The director is not asking for accents; the director is looking for actors to pronounce the Italian words authentically.
AUDITION SIDES: Are posted on the Casting Manager site. Please prepare the side(s) listed for a particular Role(s) that you wish to be considered for.
CALLBACKS: (by invitation only) will be held Monday, February 16th in the evening
REHEARSALS: First Rehearsal Read Thru will be on April 6. Rehearsals are typically held on Monday through Thursday evenings (6-10 pm) and Saturdays (10 am-1 pm). No rehearsal conflicts will be allowed after May 2.
There will be no understudies. If you are not available for ALL performances, including TBDs, we cannot cast you in this production. Our goal is to cast the very best actors. Auditions are in-person only; no videos.
