Witch

The standard rehearsal schedule will be Sunday - Thursday 6pm - 10pm
Tech begins March 4. There are six performances between March 13 and 28.
Synopsis
A charming devil arrives in the quiet village of Edmonton with a simple offer: your soul for your deepest wish. The townspeople are quick to line up, but he finds an unexpected challenge in Elizabeth, an outcast whom everyone already believes to be a "witch." Unlike the others, her soul is not for sale. As this unlikely pair—the clever devil and the woman with nothing to lose—spar and flirt, the play explodes with dark humor and incisive wit.
A modern fable for a cynical age, Witch asks a timeless question: what is the price of a soul, and what is its true value when hope is so hard to find? Prepare for a smart and spellbinding play that casts an intoxicating spell and debates how much our souls are worth when hope is hard to come by.

Synopsis
What would happen if Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso met in a Parisian café in 1904, just before they changed the world forever? In his hilarious and insightful play, comedy legend Steve Martin imagines this improbable rendezvous. As these two titans of the 20th century debate art, science, and the nature of genius, they discover their groundbreaking ideas have more in common than they ever imagined. A witty, surreal, and surprisingly profound comedy that proves that sometimes, the smartest people in the room can also be the funniest.
Character Breakdown
Freddy: Bartender/owner; grounded, “regular guy” energy with sneaky intelligence and surprising insight.
Gaston: Older barfly; blunt, bawdy, appetite-driven.
Germaine: Waitress; Freddy's girlfriend, thoughtful, sensual, sharper than the room expects.
Albert Einstein 25-ish. Big aspirations: Curious, earnest, socially “other,” trying to translate big ideas for small talk.
Suzanne: 19-ish; Picasso devotee (and ex-hookup) who arrives wounded, angry, magnetic, and brilliant.
Sagot: Picasso’s art dealer; hustler-brain, profit-forward, always “working” the room like it’s a marketplace.
Pablo Picasso: 23-ish painter; charismatic, ego-powered, seductive, competitive - genius who knows he’s genius.
Charles Dabernow Schmendiman: Would-be inventor; grand dreams, little substance.
The Countess: Elegant intellect; the rare person who genuinely tracks Einstein and meets him as an equal.
A Female Admirer: An admirer Picasso assumes is a fan of his.
A Visitor: Polite time-crasher; comfortable singing some Elvis.
