Main Characters and Storylines
Pete & Ginette: A hopeful, slightly nervous young woman (Ginette) tries to express her love to Pete in the prologue/epilogue, often with magical realism.
East & Glory: A repairman (East) encounters Glory, a hiker, and they share a poignant moment about lost love and connection, with Glory's heart literally falling out.
Jimmy & Sandrine: Jimmy, a heating/cooling guy, reconnects with his ex-girlfriend Sandrine and a salty Waitress, dealing with heartbreak and sudden good fortune.
Marvalyn & Steve: Marvalyn, a self-protective nurse, and Steve, a kind man, explore the difficulties of healing emotional wounds, often involving strange physical manifestations.
Gayle & Lendall: A couple facing the ultimate question of commitment, as Gayle wants marriage and Lendall struggles to understand love's burdens.
Randy & Chad: Two "country boys" on snowshoes, Randy and Chad, discover surprising truths about their friendship and potential romance.
Phil & Marci: A hardworking couple, Phil and Marci, confront the sacrifices their demanding jobs have made on their relationship.
Hope & Daniel: Hope, who's traveled the world, returns to her home and Daniel, who hasn't, to understand why love can be so confusing.
Rhonda & Dave: A tough woman (Rhonda) and a less-tough man (Dave) navigate their awkward but loving relationship, with Rhonda showing surprising vulnerability.
