About the Show
JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is a groundbreaking rock opera that reimagines the final days of Jesus through a modern, urgent musical lens. With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, the story unfolds primarily through the perspective of Judas, whose doubts and disillusionment propel the narrative toward its inevitable conclusion. Set against a vividly contemporary sound world, the show explores themes of faith, power, celebrity, and human frailty with a clarity that remains striking over fifty years after its debut. Featuring iconic songs like “Heaven on Their Minds,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” and “Gethsemane,” this fast-paced and emotionally charged score invites performers and audiences alike to grapple with questions that feel as resonant today as ever.

Applications are always free; participation fee is $30. We ask for this contribution directly after casting to confirm your role/chair.
