Virtual Reality Performances join the Phoenix Improv Festival for the first time

The Phoenix Improv Festival is happy to announce 22 performances from around the country will be streaming to Phoenix audiences in June including completely VR experiences.

Shows include livestream performances from B&B (Portland, OR) and Together / Myself (Coconut Creek, FL), and Neighborhood Comedy Theater (Mesa, AZ); online performances from Charmers Duo, Get a Room, Leaves of Three & The Professionals (San Francisco, CA), Horrible People & Improv All-Stars (Oakland, CA), The Buttonwood Ensemble (Middletown, CT), Twisted Flicks & Unexpected TV (Seattle, WA), national ensembles Epcot Fitzgerald & Unicorn Kingdom and the PIF ensemble. Several Phoenix mainstays will join the national groups as well.

We’re also excited to add new types of performances only available online. Oozebear will be performing audio only performances from Cincinnati, OH and we will be featuring fully VR performances from some of the best improv theaters in the virtual realm including Gob’s Improv Emporium, Nexus, and Morning Soap.

Audience members without VR setups will still be able to watch the VR performances in 2D in the PIF digital venue.

The 22nd annual Phoenix Improv Festival will take place on June 24th and 25th online. Information about full line-ups and performer workshops will be available at www.phoeniximprovfestival.com.
