The Island of Dr. Libris
Sep 9-18 (Youth Play 7-18)
Auditions will likely be in July

THE ISLAND OF DR. LUBRIS celebrates the power of imagination with an action-packed adventure that shows that sometimes the real story starts after you close the book! Billy is spending the summer in a lakeside cabin that belongs to the mysterious Dr. Libris. But something strange is going on. Besides the security cameras everywhere, there’s Dr. Libris’ private bookcase. Whenever Billy opens the classic books inside, he can hear sounds coming from the island in the middle of the lake. It’s almost as if the stories he’s reading are coming to life! But that’s impossible … isn’t it? Before long, Dr. Libris’ island is populated by some of the most famous characters in all of literature: Hercules, Robin Hood, Maid Marian, The Three Musketeers, Tom Sawyer and Pollyanna. When these characters mingle, their plot lines get mixed up (and complicated by the arrival of a few comic book heroes and villains).  It’s up to Billy and his magical imagination to come up with a happy ending for everybody, including himself!

Blithe Spirit
Oct 14-23 (Adult Play)
Auditions will likely be in August

The smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages, this much-revived classic from Noel Coward, offers up fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, re-married but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and insistent Elvira who is called up by a visiting “happy medium,” one Madame Arcati. As the (worldly and un-) personalities clash, Charles’ current wife, Ruth, is accidentally killed, “passes over,” joins Elvira, and the two “blithe spirits” haunt the hapless Charles into perpetuity.

Elf the Musical
Dec 2-18 (All Ages Musical)
Auditions will likely be in September

Based on the beloved holiday film, this hilarious fish-out-of-water comedy follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity. Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

It's 1948, it's the dead of winter, and it's time for "Loving Lives," a radio soap opera on its last legs. WE WILL HAVE TWO CASTS POSSIBLY EACH WITH THEIR OWN DIRECTOR.  ONE TEEN CAST AND ONE ADULT CAST.

School of Rock
June 2-18 (All Ages Musical)

Based on the hit film, this hilarious musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. While teaching these pint-sized prodigies what it means to truly rock, Dewey falls for the school’s beautiful, but uptight headmistress, helping her rediscover the wild child within.

While Paul is convalescing, Annie reads his latest book and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. Annie forces Paul to write a new Misery novel, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere. The irate Annie has Paul writing as if his life depends on it, and it does.
