VYT is still looking for two teenage boys, at least one who is BIPOC, for the roles of Tray and Chad in their production of High School Musical
Troy Bolton- The most popular kid at East High, he is the star of the basketball team who yearns to be more than what people want him to be. Troy discovers his love for music but refuses to admit it. Athletic, attractive, and a true leader. He becomes smitten with Gabriella. Ideally with a vocal range of top: B5 & bottom: B3
Chad Danforth- Troy's best friend. A star basketball player, part of the jocks, and second in command. Extremely focused on winning his school's basketball championship, but is slowly understanding that there might be more to this world, including his sparring crush on Taylor. Ideally with a vocal range of top: B5 & bottom: A3
Deadline to submit the audition form and videos is April 17. Rehearsal will be starting in the next couple of weeks and are Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturdays; Tech rehearsals start June 4. Performances are June 10 - 26, 2022 with some private weekday matinees in addition to public performances Thursdays through Sundays.
