Fountain Hills Theater announces the auditions for the musical Million Dollar Quartet.

On Dec. 4, 1956 a twist of fate brought together Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley.  They were brought together in Memphis, Tennessee at the Sun Records storefront studio by Sam Philips, known as the ‘father of rock and roll’ and the man who had discovered them.  This toe-tappin’, high energy musical imagines what that night might have been.

Million Dollar Quartet is directed by Peter J. Hill, musically directed by Jay Melberg and choreographed by Noel Irick.

Million Dollar Quartet will play Oct. 15 -31, 2021.  (Possible extension to Nov. 7.) Performances are held Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30PM and Sundays at 2PM.

Auditions will be held Sunday, Aug 21 @ 10:00am and Sunday, Aug. 22 @ 6:00pm.  Callbacks (If required) Monday, Aug. 23 @ 7:00pm. Auditioners are asked to sing 16- 32 bars of a song that best shows off their voice and range.  It is preferred that auditioners for Elvis, Johnny, Carl and Jerry Lee accompany themselves on their own instrument.  (Piano provided.) Early video auditions - which must be submitted prior to August 21 – may be submitted and can substitute for appearing at the Saturday or Sunday auditions.  The video should include a song showing off your voice and range accompanying themselves on their own instrument.  However, if chosen from a video audition, candidates will be required to appear in person at the callbacks.  Video auditions should be sent to peter@fhtaz.org.  FHT prefers and encourages auditioners to be vaccinated.  If chosen, performers must be vaccinated or provide a weekly negative COVID test report

Actors should consider roles if they feel they can represent the age ranges listed.
