Audition Date/Time: Friday, July 30th 4pm-8pm. (Please CLICK HERE and reserve a time-slot by clicking the “signup button to the right).
Callback Date/Time: Late afternoon Saturday, August 14th. Exact time TBD.
First Rehearsal: August 23rd.
Rehearsal Days: Mondays and Wednesdays 6-9pm, Saturdays 9am-1pm.
Tech Week: September 20th-22nd.
Performance Dates/Times: September 23rd-Oct 2, Thur-Sat 7pm, Saturday Matinee at 3pm.
Audition Requirements:
Please prepare 32 bars (measures), or a short selection of a song in the style of the show. You may sing a song from the show if you’d prefer. Please also prepare a 30-60 sec monologue.
An accompanist will not be provided so please bring a device with a backing track to sing along to. You may sing acapella, but it is not preferred.
If you cannot make it to auditions in person don’t fret!! You may send in a video audition to julazadehi@gmail.com with the above requirements by Sunday, August 1st at 11:59pm.
All roles are open to actors ages 8-15.

character actress, non-singing, must be good "Jewish" mother
Conrad Birdie
rock & roll singer, good mover, "Elvis type"
Kim MacAfee
very pretty, quite self-possessed, the girl who gets kissed by Conrad, dances.
Harry MacAfee
character singer & actor, Kim's father.
Mrs. MacAfee
sings, character actress, Kim's mother
Ursula Merkle
hyper, enthusiastic young lady, mad about Conrad Birdie
Hugo F. Peabody
Kim's boyfriend, jealous over Conrad
Ensemble
Plus a large singing and dancing ensemble including roles that will be cast out of the ensemble, such as "Baby Talk to Me Quartet", Maude the Bartender (part of the quartet), Mayor, Mayor's wife, Mrs. Merkle, Harvey Johnson, Debra Sue, etc.
