During WWII Joe Keller and Steve Deever ran a factory that made airplane parts. Steven was sent to prison because the factory turned out defective parts causing the death of many men. Keller went free and made lots of money. This is shadowed with the fact that a young Keller son went missing during the war. The play climaxes with an electric intensity.
