AUDITION for iTheatre Collaborative's first two plays of the 19-20 season: ACTUALLY and Edward Albee's THREE TALL WOMEN
Audition Date: July 20th & 21st, 11:30am-2pm
Location: Kax Stage, Herberger Theater Center
222 East Monroe Street, Phoenix, AZ
(Enter at the Stage Door located on the Van Buren Street side of the building.)
What to prepare: Please prepare 1 monologue at least 2 minutes in length. Time permitting, a second monologue of a contrasting style, also no longer than 2 minutes. Please bring at least one hard copy of your headshot/resume to the audition.
Character Description:
ACTUALLY
Amber: Female, 18-29, high-strung, talkative, charmingly neurotic and emotionally innocent. She is Jewish. Stage experience is important. Ethnicity: Caucasian
Tom: Male, 18-29, appealing and confident with some swagger, but not smarmy. He has a genuine smoothness. Stage experience is important. Ethnicity: Black / African Descent
THREE TALL WOMEN
A (Lead): Female, 50+ (plays 90), proud, autocratic, with a mild case of Alzheimer’s.
B (Lead): Female, 40-60. Similar to A at age 52
C (Lead): Female, 18-35. Similar to A at age 26
The Boy (Supporting): Male, 18-30 (plays 23), non-speaking role.
