The Silver Star Theater announces auditions for A Christmas Carol playing November 30–December 24, 2018.
This is a stage adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens’ novel. This is a musical play with some singing, movement, and dancing. This uplifting Christmas story teaches the lessons of redemption, change, and forgiveness and brings hope to all as we follow Scrooge through his reclamation. This is a family-friendly story is well-loved throughout generations.
The play is produced by The Silver Star Theater, is adapted from Charles Dickens’ book, and stars award-winning actor Mark Kleinman in his familiar role of Ebenezer Scrooge.
There will be 17 performances with most performances occurring on Monday; and Thursday-Saturday. There is one Sunday evening performance on December 23 and a matinee on Christmas Eve, December 24. Evening shows start at 7:30pm and matinees at 1:30pm.
Rehearsals will begin October 29th and continue until Opening Night and will mostly be evening times with some days depending upon availability.
All performers will be paid.
Audition Dates & Times: Children: Friday, October 5, from 6:00pm - 9:00pm (No Appointments Necessary--Coming as Group at 6:00pm then dismissed as necessary) • Children will be asked to sing at the audition.
Children will also read short scenes from the show provided at the audition.
Adults: Saturday, October 6, from 10:00am - 2:00pm
Adults will read sides from the play which will be provided at the audition.
