“The 12 Days of Christmas” is a delightful new musical comedy by the author of Ashes to Ashes, The Three Musketeers, The Big Radio Broadcast of 1941, as well as the stage adaptation of A Christmas Carol – The Musical. “The 12 Days of Christmas” is an enchanting advent calendar of a musical, with 12 playlets about the joys, stresses, and downright terrors of the Holiday season. Hilarious segments cover the season with ‘Is That You Santa?’ (or is that the cat burglar?), ‘The Department Store Satan’ (Oh, what a simple typo can cause!), ‘How to Purchase Lingerie’(It ain’t as easy as it looks!), and 9 other funny, touching and delightful tales, are woven into a mix of traditional and unique Holiday songs.
Auditionees must prepare 24-32 bars of a song that best shows off their voice. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist is provided. Please no pre-recorded accompaniment. Dress to move for dance audition.
Auditions for “The 12 Days of Christmas” will be held Oct. 13, 2018 at 4pm and Oct. 14, 2018 at 6pm. Callbacks (if required) Oct. 16, 2018 at 7pm. Auditions are at the Theater, located at 11445 N. “The 12 Days of Christmas” will play Dec. 7 -23, 2018. Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. All performances and rehearsals are at Fountain Hills Theater on its Mainstage.
“The 12 Days of Christmas” will be directed by Peter J. Hill, musically directed by Jay Melberg, and choreographed by Noel Irick.
Available roles include:
Adult ensemble: 6-8 Adult performers, all ages, all ethnicities. Singer, dancer, comedians with personality to spare.
Youth ensemble: 4-6 Youth performers meeting the same criteria.
