Synopsis
What happens when a “tell-it-like-it-is” African-American woman thinks she can be the next Angela Davis by working from the inside? She struggles to stay true to herself while working for a wild tiger of an aging leader who has spent her life hiding her Jewishness and who is determined to shock the world and show she’s still a genius. A cut-to-the-heart study of the age-old question: “Who am I?”
Character Breakdown
Cast– 3 women. (1 African-American, 1Cast– 3 women. (1 African-American, 1 Caucasian, 1 Asian-American)
Jewel–African-American. 30-40 years old. An Account Executive for an ad agency. Outspoken and strong. Should be able to sing some accapella spirituals
Mary– Asian-American. 30-40 years old. The Deputy C.E.O of King Cola. Smart and ambitious. Has been friends with Jewel since they were roommates in college
Clair—Caucasian 50-60 years old. .The C.E.O. of King Cola. Strong and powerful. Has never come to terms with being Jewish
