Holiday Cabarets:
The Soul of Broadway Holiday
Listen to some of your favorite holiday and Christmas tunes in a soulful twist with The Soul of Broadway Holiday. From traditional gospel to Motown Christmas, a cast of seven will share some of the holiday’s favorites. The Soul of Broadway Holiday features a number of actors and singers from around the Valley and marks the debut of the Christmas show to Theater Works.
In 2010, the original Soul of Broadway formed at Theater Works in the Peoria Center of the Performing Arts under the leadership of Chanel Bragg and Mitchell Vantrease. The musical revue celebrated the songs and characters of African American characters on Broadway. Last year the troupe’s show The Soul of Broadway: Act II won a AriZoni Theater of Excellence Award.
They’re pleased to return with their popular holiday show The Soul of Broadway Holiday. “We’re excited to share some our favorite Christmas classics with everyone that we hope will inspire during the holiday season,” Bragg said.
