Theater Works SummerWorks musical theater camps are the perfect summer activity for kids who love theater or who want a fun, creative summer activity. There are SummerWorks classes for all ages and skill levels, indulging the just-for-fun campers and those who want to hone their musical theater skills. With many camp themes, from Broadway to Superheroes, boys and girls alike will have a fun-filled creative summer.
SummerWorks is part of YouthWorks Academy arts and education programming for ages 3 – 18 years. YouthWorks Academy classes and camps teach creative approaches to life skills with exciting and enriching themes that inspire and instill a love for the performing arts. SummerWorks camps are taught by Theater Works distinguished teaching artists. Classes begin May 31, 2016.

BROADWAY BOUND 1: MUSICAL THEATER WORKSHOP
May 31-June 3 from 9am-4pm $195.00 (Registration Deadline May 26)
Youth Session ages 7-12, Teen Session ages 13-18
This is the summer camp for kids who love musical theater! Campers work with a musical director and choreographer to perform famous Broadway numbers for our showcase at week’s end! No previous music or dance experience is necessary to enjoy this fun-filled workshop. FINAL PERFORMANCE June 3 at 6pm, Gyder Stage
Alice In Wonderland Jr.: 3-WEEK MUSICAL THEATER PRODUCTION
June 6-24 from 9am-4pm $525.00 (Registration Deadline June 2)
Youth Session ages 7-12, Teen Session ages 13-18
Travel down the rabbit hole and join Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, in her madcap adventures. Featuring updated songs from Disney’s® thrilling animated motion picture, DISNEY’S® ALICE IN WONDERLAND JR. is a fast-paced take on the classic tale. FINAL PERFORMANCE June 24 at 6pm, Gyder Stage
BROADWAY BOUND 2: MUSICAL THEATER WORKSHOP
June 27-July 1 from 9am-4pm $225.00 (Registration Deadline June 23)

We return for another round of Musical Theater with our second workshop of the summer. New songs, choreography, and best of all more FUN! Please note: You do not need to have been enrolled in BROADWAY BOUND 1 to participate in BROADWAY BOUND 2. FINAL PERFORMANCE July 1 at 6pm, Gyder Stage
SUPERHERO ULTRAFERNO: 3-WEEK PLAY PRODUCTION
July 11-29 from 9am-4pm $525.00 (Registration Deadline July 7)
Youth Session ages 7-12, Teen Session ages 13-18
Join two nerds and a crack team of actors as they race hilariously through the world of tights-wearing crimefighters, from the 1960’s TV Batman to a bizarre, German opera of Spiderman and everything in between! This side-splitting comedy has plenty of roles for guys and gals! FINAL PERFORMANCE July 29 at 6pm, Gyder Stage
Imagination Series
Our youngest campers are able to use their imaginations to bring fun characters to life through dramatic play, art, and music. These camps are a great introduction to theater and the performing arts. Each camp has a new theme so your actor can take one or all three sessions and have a unique creative experience every time. Each session is ideal for both boys and girls aged 3 – 6 years.
